At A Class Care we are an award-winning Care provider, and we exist to help family members seek support for a loved one in their own home. We have over 20 years experience of providing care and assistance to vulnerable adults and elderly clients.

Due to expansion, A Class Care are currently recruiting a Field Care Supervisor to work as part of our Ipswich Care Team.

As a Field Care Supervisor, you are responsible for implementing community-based quality control systems and the efficient running of your own specific, defined areas. You should be willing to vary your hours of work to effectively monitor and support all care & support workers and clients.

To be a successful Field Care Supervisor you can expect to spend approximately 95% of your working week in the field with the remaining 5% being spent in the office for you to complete the necessary administrative aspect of the role.

As a Field Care Supervisor your main responsibilities would be:

  • To carry out introductory visits every time a new Care Worker is introduced to our clients for the first time.
  • To facilitate the practical induction of all new Care Workers into the community including manual handling competencies and medication competencies.
  • To carry out spot checks on Care Workers in the community and support with coaching , developing, and training where need be.
  • To carry out reviews of our person-centred Care Plans to ensure these are always up to date.
  • To urgently report any changes in a Care Workers or clients schedule to the Care Coordinator.
  • To monitor all clients for service and Care Worker satisfaction by carrying out quality assurances monthly.
  • To ensure accuracy and completeness of all documentation held in clients homes.
  • To support, monitor, supervise and mentor all Care Workers in the field. Encourage and identify opportunities for continuing professional
  • To maintain close liaison with both the Branch Manager and Care Coordinator
  • Delivering a high-quality care service that meets CQC requirements and aim to be outstanding.
  • Liaising with care professionals, including the Local Authority and Social Workers.
  • To hold on call phone on a rota basis; this will include evenings and weekends.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Able to drive, and holds a full clean UK Driving License due to the travelling involved. (use of company pool car available for work related tasks)
  • A full understanding of The Care Act 2014 and other
  • Previous experience as a care worker with aspiring leadership skills
  • Willing to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be good at problem solving and like a challenge.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Superb administrative skills
  • Experience working with the Microsoft Word Package, IT skills are as important as care experience.
  • Has a great client-focused passion.
  • Able to work under pressure and in a fast pace environment.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, is required for this role.
  • You can undertake domiciliary care duties outside of the working pattern for this role, should you wish to top up your salary.
  • You will participate in the Out of Hours support team, 1 week in 4.
